Attending events is generally optional, but attending events is great for improving your Taekwon-Do, improving confidence, meeting new people, and having fun!  Part of being a black belt in International Taekwon-Do includes supporting the growth and development of Taekwon-Do, particularly by attending events.  To grade to the first level of black belt you need to have attended at least 10 events (other than grading) from when you begin training, so it is good to start early and try to attend at least one or two events per year.  There is more information on events on the International Taekwon-Do events page »

Grading »

Gradings are regular events where students can sit an examination to be promoted to the next grade.

Tournaments »

Tournaments are an opportunity for students to test their skills against members from other schools in a more realistic and competitive environment than normal classes.

Seminars & Camps »

Seminars are a great place for students to learn from different instructors who may be able to convey a technique or idea in a way that suits their learning style.
